EFA
Amphibious system
EFA was a specially designed amphibious system supporting forward combat units in high-intensity operational environments.
Featuring rapid deployment from road to river in minutes and high mobility on both land and water, it offers universal functionality as a ferry, raft, or bridge capable of handling large vehicle flows up to class MLC 70.
This bridge operates autonomously with a two-person crew, is capable of dry gap crossing, effective for civil defense operations, and has demonstrated superior performance in extreme climate conditions.
Bridging
Land configuration
Its tactical capabilities enable swift deployment, facilitating support for forward combat units in high-intensity operational environments.
Land mobility
- Transversal slopes 30% thanks to adjustable hydraulic suspension of 2 axles
- Adjustable tires pressure when driving
- 80 km/h on road
- 50% climbing capability
- Range of road: 700 km approx.
Dry-gap crossing
- Gap: 12 m maxi;
- Payload: MLC 70.
Bridging
Water configuration
Its tactical capabilities enable swift deployment, facilitating support for forward combat units in high-intensity operational environments.
Ferry Mode
- Carrying capacity MLC 70;
- Range on water: 8 hours (25% full load, 50% half load, 25% idling);
- Water speed unloaded: 3.8 m/s;
- Water speed loaded: 3.1 m/s;
- Height of bank reached with ramp at 30%: Empty (3.30 m), loaded (3.70 m);
- Crew: 2 soldiers minimum;
- Types of load: 1 heavy Tank ou 2 medium Tanks or 4 ICV (Infantry Combat Vehicle).
Raft
Operational as a multi-bay Ferry
2 EFA MLC 150
(ex.: 1 self-propelled gun + 2 light tanks).
Bridge Mode
100 m bridge requires 4 EFA
(approx. 15 mn, max. 8 soldiers).
